Getting Soooo Big

Xavier turns 4 months old on Monday, his Aunt Jen's birthday! We went to see the doctor today for his check up. He's now 16lbs 11oz and 26". We have a little weed on our hands. He's in his crib and doing well with it. He's even let Daddy put him to bed a few times and even let Daddy feed him in the middle of the night.
During the day he's spending more time in the bumbo seat. He likes to sit up and play with the toys on his play mat. He continues to try to launch the arch on his bouncy seat off and can get pretty mad when he can't.

We had a first long trip to the swimming pool the other evening with Nana. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it all but he eventually had fun. No splashing yet but lots of standing on my stomach and being a very happy little boy.

There are times when his joy and excitement seem to explode out of him. His little body can hold it all in. He's become even more verbal and talkative. Right now I think he's threatening the spiders that go up and down on his bouncy seat.

We're working on creating a nap time routine, since they are becoming more predictable, like our night time routine. Still sleeping in light and noise but a routine of turning on the lullabies and rocking so he knows it's ok to take a nap. Otherwise he will fight it with every last waking fiber of his body.
