5 Months and Only Getting Bigger

Our little guy is 5 months and not so little. I don't have exact measurements but he's grown quite a bit. He's not only physically bigger his world is getting bigger each day.
He still loves drinking from a glass. We experimented with a sippy cup the other night. It didn't have the stopper in it so most of the water ended up all over Xavier but he really didn't care and had so much fun bringing the cup to his mouth. That's a big new development. He brings all sorts of things, anything withing reach to his mouth. While he's not teething he loved gnawing on the teething rings and he holds on it them all on his own.
We can barely get him out of his jolly jumper. I think he would sleep in it if he was comfortable. His favorite past time is jumping and blowing raspberries. I swear the child is going to dehydrate himself by blowing raspberries. He's pretty much grown out of his bouncy seat. When he tried to escape of the side of it while strapped it we decided it was time to put it up.
He's finally enjoying spending more time on his tummy. As so as you put him on the playmat he's flipped over and blowing raspberries at the animals on it. Yesterday he folded the playmat over on himself to make a little Xavier taco. He thought it was hilarious as well as his Mommy.
He continues to have great times with his Sue. Sue takes care of him two days a week. We call her our Mary Poppins. They sing and take walks and laugh all day long. She can actually get him to take longer naps than we can. I may have to come home someday and find out what she does.
Since he flips over on the playmat right away he likes time in the bumbo chair sitting up so he can play with the toys on the mat. He's going for longer times in the bumbo seat. If he doesn't flip himself over right away then he's constantly trying to sit himself up. This little boy is going to have the strongest abs by 9 months of any little baby.
He's reaching out and grabbing things now, or diving off your lap for them. He went shopping with me the other day and would mimic me taking thing off the shelf. He's doing a lot of mimicking. He watches us eat and chews along with us and now tracks our forks. He's probably ready to start rice cereal but selfish Mommy isn't ready for that yet.
One more thing. Xavier has learned to pet animals and he's very gentle about it. It comes with the whole reaching out/raking motion he's developed. He's very cute with the cats, when they let him. My parents have a new sheltie puppy, Jack. Jack loves Xavier's toes. He also will climb in the bouncy seat and play with the toys that Xavier isn't playing with. They are cute to the nth power.

I will try to be better about more frequent updates the blogs aren't so long. below are some great pictures. I have some more stuck on the camera and will get those off as soon as I can find a usb cable that fits it.
